A Bit About Louis
Louis Cousin is a consultant and researcher specializing in Web3 data spaces and
inter-cooperation.
His academic and professional journey includes research in Web3 technologies,
platform cooperativism, and the gig economy at Université Laval. Louis's
international experience is highlighted by his tenure as a Project Officer at
Cooperatives Europe, where he specialized in entrepreneurship, collaborative
economy, and youth education.
Throughout his career, Louis has spearheaded impactful projects that align closely
with Demos' services. Notably, he envisioned, designed, and implemented
Coopedia, a proof-of-concept knowledge base for cooperatives, which established
an international community of contributors and indexed hundreds of documents from
dozens of countries.
As Chief Operations Officer at Startin'blox, Louis manages a cooperative start-up,
serving 20 clients in Europe and North America. His work involved designing,
implementing, and monitoring workflows, as well as delivering web applications to
support projects ranging from energy transition to innovation in the space industry.
Louis's commitment to cooperative development is further demonstrated by his
management of a cooperation program in Rwanda, where he supported five pilot
communities in identifying and prioritizing their needs, leading to the successful
implementation of solutions. Additionally, his ongoing doctoral studies in
management aim to improve inter-organizational data sharing, showcasing his
dedication to advancing cooperative solutions.
